2009 Desks are welcomed by Students at Gladina Park Community
School!
The students at Gladina Park Community School, an affiliate of
the YWCA in Kawbwe, Zambia, are filled with joy as they sit at
their new desks, provided by our wonderful donors at Anchor of
Hope Charities! Ten new desks have provided an area where 80+
students will be encouraged to do their school work by their
head teacher, Mrs. Anastasia Maunda. Coordinating the purchase
of materials and construction of the desks by local residents of
Lusaka was Mr. George Chipako.

The
teams May 2008 trip turned out to be quite the success!!
A team of 12 traveled to Lusaka, Zambia. Among
them were Medical Students, Medical Doctors, Educators, and
Humanitarians. They offered clinical services and received
medical training in return. They offered education to children,
and received a wealth of knowledge in return.
Among their works, and together with the local community, the
team was able to complete the FOUNDATION for the DORMITORY in
Kabwa, Zambia. This dormitory, when complete, will house 24 of
the 186 children who attend school at Anchor Orphanage.

TO
YOU! …we are grateful. Also helping were the gentlemen
below who provided their free services in leveling the dirt
within the foundation walls.
